BackSpace Returns, Official Synopsis and Poster

With BackSpace Returns now in production, we’re excited to unveil the official poster and synopsis. BackSpace Returns is the sequel to our award winning short film, BackSpace. We cannot wait to share so much more of the world of BackSpace with everyone soon!

This universe is really exciting. New worlds! New villains! New adventures!

BackSpace Returns

Official Synopsis

Hunting for Black Holes is a dangerous business and it’s only getting deadlier!

In this brand new sequel to the award winning short film, BackSpace, we find Hunter stepping through the Black Hole he’s discovered. Adventure lurks around every corner, but he’s pursued by The BackSpace Corporation’s B-Team.

BackSpace heads to FilmQuest!

SO excited to announce that BackSpace is an Official Selection of FilmQuest this year! FilmQuest is one of our favorite film festivals in the world (they’ve also been voted as one of the top 50 festivals in the world!) and we’re thrilled to be a part of this year’s festival!

FilmQuest holds a special place for us as our feature films, Danger! Danger! and The West and the Ruthless were both Official Selections, as well as our short films, The Umbrella Factory, Jack the Ripper, Haunting of the White Sparrow, and Around the World in 80 Days! Our screenplay Patients of Hyde Park was an official selection and last year we screened the entire Tales from Black Manor series there!

Thrilled to see BackSpace up on the big screen this fall!

Announcing BackSpace Returns!

We are thrilled to announce the sequel to our award winning short film, BackSpace! We’re now in production on BackSpace Returns, picking up directly after the events of the first short film. It was pretty great as filmmakers to see where Hunter ended up after stepping through the black hole.

BackSpace Returns is our first true sequel that we’ve ever directed. In the past we’ve directed multiple episodes of Tales from Black Manor, but the anthology nature of the series made each episode feel connected but not a true sequel - whereas BackSpace Returns is exactly that.

We cannot wait to share even more of this exciting story, and world, with everyone!

If you have’t seen BackSpace yet, or Tales from Black Manor, you can watch them both here:
