Our short film we shot in a cornfield splattering fake blood all around will be playing this weekend in Long Beach! Haunting of the White Sparrow will be part of the RIP Horror Film Festival and we couldn't be more excited!
Also, the super talented Jon Hunt just sent us a painting of the White Sparrow himself! It's beautifully detailed and f****ing rocks!

The Festival kicked off November 29th and continued through December 1st.

Now that our latest short film is out, we wanted to show you the Behind the Scenes! It was a hot day in September and our cast was in full Victorian masquerade costumes, charging through cornfields and getting their hands covered in sticky-red-corn-syrupy-stage-blood!
It also shows off some of the great masks and props too!
Our final short film for 2013, Haunting of the White Sparrow, has landed!
We are thrilled to cap off our Macabre Trilogy this year (it sounds really cool to call it that) with Haunting of the White Sparrow. The film itself follows the Umbrella Factory, our vintage retelling of W.W. Jacobs gothic tale, the Monkey's Paw, as well as our evening with Jack the Ripper.

We ran all over Northern California shooting locations, but the best part was the main shoot in a cornfield at Dutch Hollow with actors in vintage masquerade costumes and fake blood galore! Perfect for the fall season!
One of our favorite countries in the world, Ireland, is once again screening our short film, the Umbrella Factory! The screening will be part of the amazing Kerry Film Festival!

It'll be part of a sneak peak for audiences gearing up for the Leamington Film Festival where it plays again later this fall. Our brand new short film is now online! As we follow the infamous killer on one of his evenings, we enter a world somewhere between Sin City and the opening titles of Mad Men.
We are really excited to announce our next short film, Jack the Ripper! Along with the Umbrella Factory released earlier this year, this is our second short that we've been working on. We're also really excited to be working with the super talented James Brinkley once again as he embodies the voice of the Ripper himself.
The Umbrella Factory was made of paper, cut outs, Victorian etchings that we printed out and cut and then scanned. Jack the Ripper, goes the opposite direction with some really beautiful 3D cities, models, and sets developed by some great 3D artists!
There was an approach we had been wanting to experiment with where we could use hand made paper cutouts and textures, scan them in and import them into After Effects and tell a story. We had been wanting to try it for years.
One cold morning in February while I was talking (or rather whining) to Nick about wanting to do a an awesome project that felt Tim Burton-Neil Gaiman-Jamie Caliri-Walt Disney Museum-(which you have to go to if you are ever in the Presidio of San Francisco) -sort of-look. He chimed in about what if we do “The Umbrella Factory,” the adaption he’d been working on of the Monkey’s Paw by W.W. Jacobs. It was then that we started talking about ideas in terms of what that world might look like and how best to pull it off...
