Here’s a sneak peak at the upcoming second episode of Tales from Black Manor, “The Book of Death.” Tales from Black Manor is a 3 Episode Series from directors Nick + Lexie.
Episode 1: “Legend Has It”
When “little” Ivy Black goes looking for Death, she finds him. She then learns the secret of how to trade one life for another.

Filmmaking Duo, Nick + Lexie, welcome you to Black Manor. A world where one of the 7 Books of Death has gone missing - and handed down through the generations of a family, each searching for and learning its secrets.
After the 2020 Pandemic put plans for their third Feature Film on hold, the directors went to work crafting this new world. One full of dark legends. Their daughter Azalea even coming up with the titles. The 3 Episodes of Tales from Black Manor were created entirely using pre existing Footage and Stock to weave together the tales.
We had so much fun giving some insight as to how we came up with Tales From Black Manor we decided to do a full interview about it! The article is up today on When it Was Cool!

It’s always exciting when a project lands on IMDb! Tales from Black Manor has just joined the ranks of our other films.

Check out this New Article on the Raindance site about the making of Tales from Black Manor. We go into depth about how we came up with the idea during the strangeness that was 2020 and how we created the series.
We are really excited that we had the chance to write an article for Raindance, they’ve long been a hero of ours in the filmmaking world!

The upcoming series will consist of 3 Episodes and we’re thrilled to share this first sneak peak!
The first episode will be released this August. Followed by a second in September. The third and final episode will be released in October.
A brand new article on Tales from Black Manor on Horror Fuel just landed! We talk about how we made the series during the pandemic as well as some of the inspiration for the film! We also do a little interview about how we’d love to make a horror film set in the Harry Potter Universe.
We are SO excited to announce our next project! A Brand New Series called TALES FROM BLACK MANOR. It’s a world we’ve been excited about for a while now and we’re so thrilled to finally start to share it!

Tales from Black Manor allowed us to work with a few of our favorite collaborators again including James Brinkley who we previously worked with on our award winning shorts: The Umbrella Factory, Jack the Ripper, and Around the World in 80 Days.
We’re also thrilled to work with Paul Happanemi again! Paul brought the characters of Francisco Winchester and Jungle Jim to life in our feature films, The West and the Ruthless and Danger! Danger!
We also had a chance to work with some incredibly talented new voice actors as well, including Donnla Hughes, Briony Rawle and Holly Standbrook.
FilmQuest 2020/2021 kicks off today! The festival was originally supposed to take place in 2020 but was postponed because of you-know-what.
We’d like to send out a congratulations to all of the other filmmakers whose films are Official Selections this year! Also, a big congrats to Jonathan Martin, the festival runner, for making it through these crazy times!

The event is part of the Fantaspoa International Fantastic Fest and will be available to everyone via streaming in Brazil that wants to join in. For more information check out the Official Fantaspoa website!
We just received our Official Laurels for the upcoming Fantaspoa Film Festival! Our film, Danger! Danger! will be making its South American Debut at the Film Festival in Brazil.
Danger! Danger! is the second feature film from Nick + Lexie and is a love letter to the Spielberg movies of the 1980s like Indiana Jones, The Goonies, and Back to the Future, the very films that made them want to be filmmakers in the first place. The film stars Benedict Mazurek, Paul Haapaniemi, Angela Smeraldi, Alexandra Keller, with Matt Boone and Alexander Harris.

Danger! Danger! is making its South American Premiere. The film will screen at Fantaspoa, Latin America’s Biggest Genre Film Festival!
The Fantaspoa International Fantastic Film Festival was voted one of the top 50 Best Genre Film Festivals in the world by MovieMaker Magazine!
The festival will be held in Brazil on April 9.

We’re SO excited to announce that Danger! Danger! received 7 Award Nominations yesterday at FilmQuest!
The film received the Best Ensemble Cast Nomination, Best Filmmaker Nomination, Best Lead Actor for Benedict Mazurek, Best Supporting Actress for Alexandra Keller, Best Sound, Best Score, and Best Visual Effects!!
And Lexie Trivundza received the Minerva Award Nomination for Best Female Filmmaker!!
We’re over the moon!

Our final Location Scouting trip of the year was to the Grand Canyon. No wonder people have been calling this one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It’s really that awe inspiring. Absolutely stunning.
Our second location scouting adventure was at Red Rock! It’s always exciting to start envisioning where the story can be told! And when that involves caves and amazing landscapes, we’re even more excited!
