Adventure Company

We had the opportunity to work with lettering genius Tobias Saul on our motion logo for Adventure Company, which can be seen at the opening of The West and the Ruthless.

His work was once again nothing short of stellar.

We wanted to show off a behind the scenes of all of his design work right here.

We’ve also launched a very Hollywood website as well (meaning it’s just a logo on black).

Interview Makes the Front Page!

Pretty awesome that the interview with Deke Farrow made the front page this last weekend! It was a wonderful surprise and we’re really excited!

The article discusses our short films, Jack the Ripper and The Umbrella Factory, as well as our upcoming Feature, The West and The Ruthless. It also has some great quotes from Robert Rodriguez’s El Rey Network and President!

Awesome Interview Online Now!

Check out this fantastic article on our short films and upcoming Feature Film, The West and the Ruthless! It's with Deke Farrow, a super awesome journalist with Northern California newspaper, The Modesto Bee!

It talks about our upcoming episode on Robert Rodriguez’s El Rey Network with Host John Carpenter, our short films, Jack the Ripper, some behind the scenes on The Umbrella Factory, as well as The West and the Ruthless!

It also includes some wonderfully nice things from the El Rey President himself!

THE SHORT'S MOST IMPRESSIVE QUALITY WAS THE DIRECTION IT TOOK WITH THE ICONIC TITLE CHARACTER – STACKING STORY AGAINST AN UNUSUAL LAYERING OF TIME PERIODS AND STYLE. ... WE PORED OVER COUNTLESS SUBMISSIONS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD TO SELECT THESE 10 SHORTS FOR OUR FIRST SHOWCASE, AND ‘JACK THE RIPPER’ WAS A UNANIMOUS RAISED-HAND FOR INCLUSION.

Daniel Tibbets, El Rey Network president and general manager, also had this to say about our upcoming episode and short film:

“We also gave the short extra kudos for its noir-ish black-and-white color palette, which invoked the style of Robert Rodriguez’s own noir epic, ‘Sin City.’ ”

Then the article goes on to discuss the upcoming feature, The West and the Ruthless and includes our favorite quote (like ever):

“It’s not called ‘The West and the Nice People.”

The West and the Ruthless, Official Trailer

Our First Official Trailer for The West and the Ruthless is here! Watch it now!

In the dusty streets of Crow's Landing, outlaws, wealthy plantation owners, runaway slaves, a pair of brothel owners and a woman days away from giving birth all end up in a bloody shoot out and running for their lives.

Directors Statement:

Making a western as our feature film debut was really important to us. The American West was a really adventurous melting pot of diversity. People were coming from all around either in search of fame, fortune, or a new beginning. It’s this time period and this genre that allowed us to tell these stories in new and exciting ways as well. To be able to show the courage that these men and women had of all different backgrounds was really exciting.

Designing the Title

When we were first developing The West and The Ruthless, we knew that there was only one designer that we wanted to work with, the brilliant Tobias Saul. Tobias had done work for us in the past on two other projects (both to be revealed soon) and to great results.

We thought it would be interesting to pull back the curtain a little bit and reveal a look inside Tobias’ process with initial sketches and a look at the development of Crow’s Landing.
