Pixar!
la_luna_banner

Last week we were invited to Pixar to check out their latest short film, La Luna, which has a ton of buzz right now! The film, which debuted to big reviews on the festival circuit, will be opening with Brave this summer, and it’s amazing. It’s a little early to put it on the calendar, but when it’s out, go see it!

After a presentation of their films reaching all the way back to 1984 (the historic Adventures of Andre and Wally B) to the present Small Fry, it was amazing to see how their work had progressed and continues to progress. The film played with a nice little intro and making of presentation by director Enrico Casarosa (who definitely deserves the oscar nom).

One Shot, Short Film

We’re excited to unveil One Shot! One Shot is our short film filled with oil tycoons, propaganda, glitches, and a little bit of blood!

One Shot is a film made in one take (well, two takes if you count the camera man falling over in the middle of take one to everyone’s surprise)! It’s an experimental piece we directed so that we could hang out with actors all day, play with guns, and dress up in ski masks.

48 Hours at Adobe with Zombies
banner_zombie

This last weekend, Naissance producer Lexie Findarle Trivundza produced a stereoscopic short film over at Adobe working with director Erik Espera. The shoot had it all, from haunted basements, crew running in every direction, and of course: zombies. The reason for the crew running in every direction? They only had two days to produce the shoot, edit, and blast through post!

This stereoscopic zombie fantasia makes it’s debut next Wednesday in San Francisco.

Premiere Screenings:

Date: Wednesday, June 22nd

Time: 7PM and 9PM

Place: Lumiere Theater, 1572 California Street, San Francisco, 94109

Tickets: $10 (Purchase them here...)

Sensored on DVD

If you haven’t noticed, we’re big fans of Vimeo. Over on Vimeo there is a new channel just for Main Titles. Our opening credits to the Thriller Sensored were just added to the mix. Go check it out! Vimeo: Main Titles http://vimeo.com/channels/maintitles

Also, speaking of Sensored, go grab a copy of it right now on Blu-Ray or DVD.

Amazon Store: http://www.amazon.com/Sensored-Robert-Picardo/dp/B0030Y122S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1270694187&sr=8-1

If you are not familiar with Sensored, the thriller stars Robert Picardo as a children’s book author tormented by his inner demons. The twist and turns don’t stop until the very last frame of the film. Naissance handled the titles and a hand full of special effects in the film itself.

Little Red Riding Hood

When you know a bunch of artists and designers - there is never a lack of ideas. Usually you find yourself in whirlwind of creativity and the toughest part is deciding which of those ideas to actually pursue.

This past year there has been one idea that we have absolutely loved, and it was the idea of telling a simple story through photographs. We knew from the beginning we wanted to tell a folk tale, something that was familiar but through a new lens. The story would be Little Red Riding Hood. Immediately we started talking colors, locations, wolves, fonts, music, pacing, scarves and all that usually accompanies a creative rush.

Trudging through the snow up in the mountains of the Sierra Nevada region of California we shot our shots, shivered all day and then in between the tiny breaks we have between client projects, we slowly pieced our narrative together.

We are really excited to share this fun little short film with you.

Current TV Talks Gray and Film Fests

We were really excited to see that Current TV posted an article on our music video for Elizabeth Seward’s awesome track “Gray.” Here’s what they had to say:

Elizabeth Seward's "Gray" Video Wins Sacramento Film and Music Festival Award

Article By: Mike Johnston

NYC indie rocker Elizabeth Seward continues the evolution of her musical career by claiming an award at the prestigious Sacramento Film and Music Festival. I have previously featured her winning video "Gray" here (and above) as well as another video/song she did titled "A New Town" (link: http://current.com/items/89964753_elizabeth-seward-a-new-town.htm ). The award she won was Best Independent Video (runner up) and that is kinda huge.

Sensored, Film Premiere

We are completely stoked to post that the film Sensored will be opening the Sacramento Film Festival this summer. The film was directed by co-conspirator Ryan Todd, written by Kevin Haskin, and produced by Jo Haskin. The film stars Robert Picardo of Star Trek fame as the devious Wade. A man caught between his murderous day job and his passion for writing children’s books (he has issues). The opening titles were created by Nick Trivundza and book ended with closing credits by Josh Jones.

Grey, Music Video

In the midst of one of the busiest production schedules I can remember - we have managed to concept / create / and finish the music video to Elizabeth Seward’s latest track, “Gray.” The music video itself was directed and designed by Nick Trivundza, produced by Lexie Findarle, with director of Photography Ryan Todd. Josh Jones was also on location as our special effects supervisor, but most importantly the video features an amazing performance by Elizabeth Seward herself.
