Series 3 Trailer
TALES FROM BLACK MANOR, SERIES 3
The Final Season of Tales from Black Manor is the biggest and deadliest season yet. With six brand new episodes, see where the story all began - and ends - as the mystery of Black Manor comes to a close.
Tales from Black Manor, Episode 9:
”heart of war”
Episode 9 “Heart of War”
A father's haunting tale of a woman named Death promises victory to the son who slaughters the most in her name. The House of Black rises, and in a gruesome war, they claim triumph.
Kicking off Series 3!
For the first episode of Series 3, Heart of War, we were inspired by the films of Zack Snyder, particularly 300. When 300 came out, it is was mind blowing. The speed ramps were so punk rock. When creating the battle scenes in the Heart of War, we were really lucky. All of the footage was shot in slow motion. For a lot of the scenes we sped them back up to normal, but in a few cases, specifically towards the end of the battle when the deaths start to mount - we slowed everything down.

Tales from Black Manor, Episode 10:
”dark days”
Episode 10: “Dark Days”
At Black Manor, death is just an option. Uncle Oliver teaches 'Bloody Mary' the ropes and she’ll do whatever it takes to keep her immortality and her pretty face.
Back to Shallow Grave
When we first began working on Tales From Black Manor, Series 2 - we were really inspired by the early films of Danny Boyle. Specifically Shallow Grave and Trainspotting and we wanted to create something with that feeling. Alice & The Watch was originally written to feel this way - but that ended up changing story and leaned much more towards David Fincher for tone. With Dark Days, we were finally able to get back to some of that early inspiration.

Tales from Black Manor, Episode 11:
”Miss Nobody”
Episode 11: “Miss Nobody”
Spreadsheets. TV. Noodles. Try not to cry. Go to bed. Wait for the sweet release of death. Wake up. Do it again. And again. Endless hours, same routine. Until one night something different happens. An intrusion offers an unexpected twist.
Getting Lost
For Miss Nobody, we began to think about seeing some of these stories from different perspectives. Our inspiration was the TV series Lost. This was one of the first times I had ever seen a series go in depth on a completely different perspective and we wanted to give that a try with Miss Nobody who had previously been seen in Dark Days.

Tales from Black Manor, Episode 12:
”The accidental death”
Episode 12: “The Accidental Death”
Life's unforeseen endings take center stage in The Accidental Death. From car crashes and electrocutions, to fatal distractions, delve into a realm of unintended fatalities.
The Grim
For the final appearance of The Land of Death and Dreams we also include nightmares. We were really inspired by Mike Flannigan’s The House of Usher on this one. Specifically for the jester.

Tales from Black Manor, Episode 13:
”The Keepers”
Episode 13: “The Keepers”
In the tower of Black Manor, the Keeper guards the manors darkest secrets. Amidst catacombs, graves, and the Book of Death, he safeguards the legacy, offering others eternal life at the cost of a deadly bargain.
The Final Episode
As we mentioned earlier, we’re big Mike Flannigan fans. The House of Usher was absolutely incredible, but we also really loved Midnight Mass. This was a big inspiration when we began to put together The Keepers. It impacted both the melancholy tone and the beauty of the Catholic Church images.

Tales from Black Manor, Episode 14:
”The END OF ALL THINGS”
Episode 14: “The End of All Things”
When Annabelle Black goes venturing off into the forgotten East Corridor of Black Manor, she finds something new. It’s a simple glass orb - but when she touches it - she can see everything. She can see the beginning, middle, and end of time, and lurking there is the Final Death.
An Epilogue
The End of All Things was designed to feel like an epilogue to the series, one last moment that comes even after the final episode and tells the death of Black Manor and maybe even the entire world.
