Danger! Danger! Behind the Scenes - The Sets & Locations
Locations and Sets are extremely important to us when we’re making a film. With both of our feature films, The West and the Ruthless and Danger! Danger! the locations are essentially one of the characters. In The West and the Ruthless, we wanted a world that felt dirty, and gritty, and lived in. We found the perfect location at Old Tucson Studios that also made the film feel huge.
Sets at Laurel Canyon Stages
For Danger! Danger! we wanted to harken back to the films of the 1980s that made us want to become filmmakers. The locations needed to have that adventurous and sci-fi spirit of the 80s, but also feel dangerous and epic. The stages at Laurel Canyon Studios made us feel like we were on the set of Aliens and Vasquez Rocks (the home of so many Star Trek films, the Planet of the Apes, and so many others!) were the perfect settings.
